Outdoor Project Update

We are still working hard on this project.  With the drainage issues, it caused the concrete slab at the top of the steps to sink. Insert engineer husband's concept for raising the concrete while utilizing the pavers to counter balance the rise in the slab. (are we nuts or what?)  This needs to be a slow process so the slab doesn't break. I am just hoping that we don't hear a loud crash in the middle of the night & have bricks flying through our bedroom window!

We had an assembly line removing the pavers. I would send the pavers down the shoot & the husband would stack them on the i-beam skid.  One of our friends said "this project looks like one I would have hired out".....oh well.  We'll see how this ends up but so far, it's working. The slab has shifted up about 2 inches and needs to get to 3.  Then, we will put the crushed rock underneath it to keep it in place.  Here's a few shots of the current stage:

We are leaning towards the stamped colored concrete.  Most of all the pavers are off the patio and stacked. These pavers are ready to get moved by the bobcat. Hoping that sometime this month I can show you the finished result!
