Chandelier revamp - Part 2!


I posted about this project here to explain the wire frame of this shade. Since we were having a party this past weekend, I wanted to get it up in the dining room.   I used a hot glue gun to attach the fabric:




And look what arrived last week via UPS?




I ordered this indoor/outdoor rug from Frontgate & it arrived 2 days later!  I am really happy with this rug & the quality.   I was inspired by this post from the awesome blog  Knight Moves where she used this rug in her office and I thought it would work well in our dining room. Thanks Kyle for the post & the inspiration. 






I am really happy with how it all turned out and I promise, no more dining room posts!!

    No! I love your dining room posts! Partially because we are about to revamp our dining room- I think it is the hardest room in the house to decorate.

    I also like that you used an outdoor rug- we did that in the hallway and they are much more durable, IMO.

    I can't believe those two changes could alter the look of your room so much. I love that rug, it has a timeless quality to it and could be used in any number of rooms.

    Wow, that looks so beautiful! I love drum shades over chandeliers, but you are right, they are pricey. Your whole dining room just looks beautiful, I love the transformation. Great job.

    Beautiful shade. I too am looking into covering my outdated brass chandelier without having to take the entire light down.
