Kitchen Remodel 2025

It's that time of year for a few updates around the house.  We built this home 35 years ago and now are updating the kitchen with new floors, cabinets, lights and counter tops.  Here's a few before pics:

A refresh a few years back with new tops, backsplash and painted cabinets:

Here is where we are at:

In this pic above, our contractors built a temporary wall to contain the dust!

The original wall where the sink was is now gone!

Another wall taken down!

Drywall finished and first coat of paint. BM Smokey Taupe.

Tile removed & hardwood partially installed:

This is one of the slabs for the island, perimeter & the back splash.

Cabinet knobs and pulls are installed and the big wall is now down! It looks a little messy in the living room but it really opens up the space!  Can't wait to get the whole space back in order. 

Appliances are being installed today. Painters come back next week.

Countertops are still a few weeks out. 

We are going with these bar stools for around the island:

These were on Amazon but no longer available in this color.  

Appliances are in. Still waiting on the countertops and then the sink!

We also decided to change out the upper cabinets to include mirrors vs glass.
