Changes around the house!

I love to make small changes around the house. Lately, we have had a few projects underway. Not enough for their own post but still fun to get things done.  On our covered enclosed porch, we have carpet. We also have a carpeted step that was a mess.  It was stained and our dog decided to start pulling it up....nice!  So, instead of putting down more carpet, we decided to buy more of our kitchen tile and run it on the step outside. I don't have a before pic but here is the after.

I am also now in the middle of painting the rest of the wood around the door.

Another project we finished recently was adding a new vanity tower in our master bath. These things are great and help to keep the bathroom counter top nice & organized!

On to the kitchen. A while ago, we updated the island with white princess quartzite. It looks similar to white marble but without the worry.  Also, I updated the bar stools and bought these here. If you are local, this is a great place to check out for furniture, mirrors and rugs. 

 I love the white leather but the seats aren't that comfortable and I wanted a fun fabric. I bought some white crocodile faux fabric and put some additional padding on the seats. I will show you those later in the week when finished.

One other small project that I am working on was one that was inspired by Janell at Isabella & Max Rooms.

She did not  like the green on the edge of 

her glass tables so decided to update them with a quick fix using her gold Rub 'n Buff.

That inspired me since I have table tops that are similar and need an update. And I just happen to have some  silver Rub 'n Buff.  Stay tuned!
